About the work

El burlador de Sevilla y convidado de piedra (The Trickster of Seville and the Stone Guest)

Don Juan Tenorio, a Spanish nobleman, seduces women by disguise and false promises of marriage, fleeing from Naples to Seville and leaving dishonour behind him. He kills the father of one of them, mockingly invites the dead man's stone statue to dinner, and is dragged down to hell when the statue returns the invitation.
