Netflix's first Indian series adapts Vikram Chandra's novel about Sartaj Singh, a Mumbai police inspector, and Ganesh Gaitonde, a gangster who tells him the city will be destroyed in twenty-five days. It keeps the novel's double structure of the investigation and Gaitonde's life story.
