Civil War influenced Captain America
Added by Media Influence Map · 29 September 2026
The evidence
The third film, Captain America: Civil War, takes its premise from Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's crossover: a government act to register and control superheroes after a disaster, which splits them into camps behind Captain America and Iron Man. The film replaces the comic's secret identities with the Sokovia Accords.
